This textbook is the result of teaching Wilderness skills over the years without a textbook. After searching for a book to use that was adequate for teaching about wilderness on the Kenai Peninsula and not finding any, I started taking notes from my reading and studying of the outdoors. I also started writing down what I learned from my experiences and other's experiences in the Alaska outdoors and...here it is. I did not come up with all of the material on my own. I read lots of articles and books and compiled a mass amount of info over the years and put it all together in this easy-to-use package.
